We finished planting our north field last week and are very excited for the upcoming 2024 summer harvest. As we do every year, we planted some new varieties for our own seed trials. The seed industry breeds plants with more protection against various diseases that can affect them. Every year presents new challenges, such as weather, bug pressure, or pricing, but we continue to work alongside Mother Nature to provide a necessary part of life - food. Every farmer faces the same challenges.
